Head Instructor/Owner, Jaro Sevcik was born in the Czech Republic, and grew up playing hockey with many of his fellow Czech NHLer's. Jaro’s playing career included winning a silver medal with the Czech Junior Team at the 1985 World Junior Championships. He went on to play NHL, AHL, Czech National Team and ten seasons with top European teams in Switzerland, Germany and Austria.
After retiring from playing, Jaro was Assistant Coach with the Dalhousie University Men’s hockey team for seven seasons and coached for many years with Chebucto Minor Hockey Association. Jaro also runs numerous private and team clinics throughout HRM and the province. Coach Sevcik is also a certified personal trainer and has been operating Future Pros Hockey School since 1993.
